Federal grants
Legislative resources
The goal of TxDOT’s federal grant program is to bring federal dollars to Texas to support critical transportation projects throughout the state. Since the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), TxDOT has helped secure millions in federal funding for Texas by successfully applying for grants and supporting our local partners. These funds have enabled a wide variety of projects that advance safety and innovation across the state, including in bridge infrastructure, trail networks, and smart technology in transit.
If you are interested in applying for a federal grant, please see our monthly update where you can find information on current grant opportunities and deadlines. All federal grant issues are run through our Federal Affairs Section of TxDOT’s Government Affairs Division. If you can't open the attachment, please email Federal_Grants@txdot.gov to request the form via email.
