Purpose | TxDOT is proposing to reconstruct and widen SH 183 from I-30 to SH 199 in Tarrant County, Texas. |
Description | The SH 183 project is located within the cities of Fort Worth, River Oaks, Westworth Village and White Settlement, and is the primary roadway access to the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth entrance along Pumphrey Drive. The project area is approximately 5-miles in length and within an existing 160-210 foot-wide right of way. The proposed project improvements include:
These improvements identify opportunities to increase mobility, improve accessibility and multimodal connectivity as well as enhance safety along the corridor. The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potential displacement of residences and commercial structures. |
Accessibility | The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact Breena Riley, Environmental Planner, at the Fort Worth District, at (817) 370-6567 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Thursday, Mar. 28, 2024. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of Transportation to arrange. |
