TxDOT is led by an executive director and a deputy executive director who are assisted by a chief financial officer, four assistant executive directors and three executive-level administrators.
Twenty-one divisions and six offices headquartered in Austin provide
administrative and technical support to TxDOT's 25 districts. Each district
office oversees the design, location, construction and maintenance of its area's
transportation systems and is managed by a district engineer.
