SP420-002  PDF  RTF  Concrete Structures - Clarifies the requirements for application of interim curing for bridge slabs and modifies the pay adjustment formula for under strength concrete to one that is not as harsh. SP425-001  PDF  RTF  Precast Prestressed Concrete Structural Members - This special provision includes wording that had been placed in the General Notes at the direction of the Executive Director. Several projects were let without these notes so it was decided to put the wording into a special provision. Required on all projects with Item 425 beginning with the March 2009 letting. SP429-008  PDF  RTF  Concrete Structure Repair - Modifies 429 to make it work with the new DMS-4655. Slab pay item was set up seperately from horizontal repairs so we can track bridge deck costs in new bridge management system. All bridge deck work will now be done using Item 429. Required on all projects with Item 429 beginning with the March 2009 letting. The use of this special provision prior to March 2009 letting is at the option of the district. Replaces SP429-006 . SP434-003  PDF  RTF  Elastomeric Bridge Bearings - Provides for a new type of bridge bearing: Sliding Elastomeric Bearings. Consisting of a steel top sole plate with a stainless steel facing upper component bearing on a lower component. Required on all projects with Item 434 beginning with the May 2006 letting. SP448-002  PDF  RTF  Structural Field Welding - This special provision addresses inspection issues and updates testing requirements for certified field welding.
