Outdoor Advertising Signs

TxDOT regulates the display of off-premise outdoor advertising signs along state roads and highways. Sign owners may need to obtain an outdoor advertising license and permit, depending on location and other regulations. The program is operated by the Right of Way division and district offices and does not include logo and directional signs, memorial signs and traffic signs.
