A little goes a long way

Drive like a Texan is all about saving lives. It's a reminder for everyone in Texas to treat each other with a little bit of the kindness, respect, and neighborly spirit we’re famous for, especially on the road. By showing courtesy and care behind the wheel the same way we would in person, we can make our roads safer for all.

Leading by example

Drive like a Texan is about embracing what makes our state great — the way we look out for each other. On the road, this means driving with care, patience, and respect for everyone around us. Watch to see how Alice Leese drives with Texas pride.

The Texan Way

Whether you were born here or got here as fast as you could, Texans all share a love for this state and the people in it. Hear from exceptional Texans on what it means to drive with courtesy and care for one another, every trip.

Community events
