Procurement

The Procurement Division is the central purchasing office for the department, procuring goods and non-professional services under the State Purchasing Act. The division develops purchasing policies and procedures and serves as the department liaison to the procurement oversight agencies. Most of the division’s purchasing personnel statewide are state certified, and all the division’s purchasing managers are state and nationally certified.

The division assists the department in interpreting purchasing law, policies and procedures. It also manages suppliers, facilitates procurement negotiations, provides procurement training, oversees purchasing cards and provides outreach activities for the department’s Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program.
