Open House - SH 21 Relief Route

Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to gather public input on the proposed alternative alignments for a relief route around Madisonville in Madison County. The meeting will be an open house format so citizens may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions.

Description:

The proposed SH 21 relief route would be on a new location and would require the acquisition of additional right of way. The purpose of this relief route would be to alleviate congestion through the community of Madisonville while increasing safety, connectivity, and mobility along the SH 21 corridor.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
