Open House - SH 21 Crossovers

5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
   
Purpose: The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input on the proposed crossover improvements on SH 21 between SH 47 and the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge west of Bryan in Brazos County.
   
Description: The proposed project is anticipated to improve safety and mobility. Proposed improvements include:
  • Construct new crossovers (lanes that cross over to the opposite side)
  • Remove existing crossovers
  • Add deceleration and acceleration turn lanes
No additional right of way or relocation of homes or businesses are required.

Since this in an open-house format, no formal presentation is planned. TxDOT staff will display the plan and will be available to discuss the project. Attendees may come and go at their convenience. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 17, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
