Open House - Darrington Road

| Purpose: | TxDOT invites the public to participate in an open house regarding the proposed widening of Darrington Road from an existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation. Maps showing the proposed project’s location and geometric design will be available for viewing and representatives from TxDOT and the project team will be available to answer questions. |

| Description: | The proposed project includes a pond, continuous sidewalks and bike lanes in each direction for 1.3 miles along Darrington Road from Alberton Avenue in Horizon City to 200 feet south of LTV Road. The proposed project would require approximately five acres of additional right of way for proposed drainage retention ponds. Persons interested in attending the open house who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to call (915) 790-4200. TxDOT will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate special needs as requested. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT. |
