Purpose:
TxDOT is hosting a public meeting for proposed improvements to US 54 (Patriot Freeway).
Description:
The proposed project includes:
- Adding two mainlanes (one in each direction) on US 54 (Patriot Freeway) from Hondo Pass Drive to Loop 375 (Woodrow Bean/Transmountain Road)
- Reversing the on/off ramps in both the northbound and southbound directions within the project limits
- Intersection improvements at three locations: Hondo Pass Drive, Diana Drive and Loop 375 (Woodrow Bean/Transmountain Road)
- Adding bicycle/pedestrian improvements
The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
