Public Hearing - Stuart Place Road

Where:	Stuart Place Elementary 6701 W. Business 83 Harlingen, TX 78552	When:	Tuesday, July 27, 2010 Exhibit Viewing Period - 5:30 p.m. Presentation - 6 p.m.
Purpose:	A public hearing discuss the proposed Stuart Place Road project in Cameron County from 0.101 mile south of BUS 83 to 0. 70 miles south of US 83, a total distance of 0.598 miles. The the public will have the opportunity to view the project details and provide comments.
Description:	The existing roadway consists is 22-foot wide rural roadway with two 11-foot wide travel lanes within an existing 60-foot wide right of way (ROW). The proposed improvements would involve the following: Reconstruction and widening to a 46-foot wide urban type roadway with two 11-foot wide inside travel lanes and two 12-foot wide outside travel lanes. Construction of a 5-foot wide sidewalk along the east side of the roadway. Construction of an additional 12-foot wide center turning lane at the BUS 83 intersection, which would require approximately 0.4 acres of additional ROW involving commercial, residential and railroad properties. No impact to waters of the U.S. including wetland. The proposed project would not cross the 100 year FEMA flood plain.
