PLANO/ALLEN/McKINNEY – Ground is breaking on a project to add capacity to US 75 from a six-lane highway to eight lanes with improved frontage roads. The six-mile-long project stretches from Spring Creek Parkway in Plano to SH 121 (Sam Rayburn Tollway) in McKinney.
Construction is expected to be complete in May 2017 on the $47.5 million project. MCM is the contractor on the project, which is funded with Regional Toll Revenue.
During construction current capacity will be maintained and the width of the current lanes will stay the same in order to maintain traffic flow through the project work zone. Lane closures will be held during off-peak travel times and weekends.
