ELLIS COUNTY — In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) approved contract awards for Ellis County improvement projects.
The contract includes additional paved surface width on FM 308 from the Hill County Line to US 77. The 4.8-mile project was awarded to Knife River Corporation–South in the amount of $3 million.
In addition, the Texas Transportation Commission approved an additional $237,358 for bridge replacement on Cowan Road at Mill Creek. The contract for this bridge replacement was awarded to J.M. Yanez Construction.
Construction start dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractors.
