MELISSA – Work is beginning on a highway expansion project on US 75 between County Road 275 (Telephone Road) and Melissa Road that will widen the highway to six lanes with two-lane frontage roads.
This week the contractor, Ed Bell Construction, will be conducting various lane closures daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to set traffic barrier on the right side of the southbound US 75 mainlanes. By Friday, September 20, the southbound ramp to SH 121 northbound will be closed.
From US 75 southbound, exit Davis Road north of SH 121, travel southbound to Telephone Road, make a U-turn onto the northbound frontage road and enter SH 121 northbound.
The $63.5 million project is expected to be complete in fall of 2016.
