SH 71 East Project

TxDOT is considering a number of projects in eastern Travis County to improve traffic flow on State Highway (SH) 71 between Riverside Drive and SH 130.

Three projects currently under development include the following:

Construction of an underpass at Riverside Drive
Removal of a traffic light and three median crossovers at Brandt Drive and Thornberry Road as well as the haul truck crossover between them
Construction of a "superstreet" at Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 973.
