The Weatherford Pass-Through Toll Project includes nine separate highway segments totaling 7.5 miles along Interstate 20 (I-20), State Highway (SH) 171 and Farm to Market (FM) Road 51.

• Reconstruction of SH 171/FM 51 from FM 1884 to I-20
• Reconstruction of SH 171/FM 51 from I-20 to Causbie Road
• Realignment of FM 2552 from Eureka Street to US 180 at Denton Street
• I-20 eastbound frontage road from South Bowie Drive to FM 1884
• I-20 westbound frontage road from FM 1884 to South Bowie Drive
• I-20 eastbound frontage road from SH 171 to FM 2552
• I-20 westbound frontage road from FM 2552 to SH 171
• Holland Lake Drive bridge over I-20
• I-20 turnaround bridges at SH 171 and FM 2552; widening of SH 171 bridge over I-20

The projects will cost approximately $52 million and Weatherford will contribute about $7-10 million.

Weatherford will be reimbursed by TxDOT for its investment based on the number of cars that "pass-through" on the roadway. Pass-through tolling accelerates projects by allowing the debt to be paid off over time. Because the money is not needed all at once, it frees those funds to be used elsewhere.

All nine segments are estimated for completion by 2014. Weatherford is not only coordinating public involvement but is also designing, building and inspecting the roadway.
