The primary purpose of the working group was to provide input on options for developing SH 249. SH 249 Working Group members identified issues and concerns, reviewed technical information, and initiated public outreach activities to gather input from citizens and stakeholders. The results of this effort include goals and objectives; a purpose and need statement; and a defined area to study in greater detail. TxDOT will consider these recommendations as the project goes through the environmental review process and is further developed.
