As 120-Day ARRA Deadline Passes, Texas Recovery Efforts are Ahead of Schedule
AUSTIN — U.S. Deputy Secretary of Transportation John Porcari will join with Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson and Texas Department of Transportation Commissioner Fred Underwood to announce Texas’ progress getting American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) funds back into the state economy this Monday, June 29, 2009 at 9:00AM CDT.

On Monday, the officials will highlight Texas’ work to surpass the obligation goals set forth under ARRA and put Texans to work on dozens of ready-to-go projects across the state.
The event will take place at an ARRA-funded project, located at the intersection of FM 1382 and Old Straus Road, in Cedar Hill, Texas.
