De Juana Lozada serves as director of Travel Information.
Lozada comes to TxDOT after serving 12 years as a civilian public affairs officer for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Army, Europe, where she managed the U.S. military’s efforts to grow and maintain relations with host nation dignitaries, government officials and communities. Lozada and her team routinely featured travel information to the thousands of service members, their families and military contractors assigned to the region.
From 2007-2011 she worked for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, first as the assistant director of Communications and then as the director of Diversity. Lozada was responsible for assisting the state in its efforts to enroll, retain and graduate more underrepresented students from Texas public institutions of higher education.
Lozada earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from the University of Maryland as well as a Legal Studies degree from the University of North Carolina.
