Purpose: Williamson County, in partnership with TxDOT, invites you to an open house regarding proposed improvements to RM 620 between Cornerwood Drive and Deep Wood Drive. This is your opportunity learn more about the proposed project, talk with project staff and give input on the proposed project. There will be no formal presentation; citizens are invited to come and go at their convenience.

Preliminary maps and exhibits of the project will be on display at the open house, and are currently available for review at the following locations:

The open house will be conducted in English. Persons interested in attending the open house who require auxiliary aids or services, such as interpreters, are requested to contact Williamson County Public Information Officer Connie Watson at least five business days prior to the open house so that appropriate arrangements may be made. Contact information is below. Williamson County and TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate communication or accessibility needs.
   
Description: The proposed improvements would include the re-striping of existing RM 620 pavement from four lanes to six lanes between Cornerwood Drive and Wyoming Springs Drive, and the widening of RM 620 from four lanes to six lanes between Wyoming Springs Drive and Deep Wood Drive.

Upon completion, the proposed project would include:

  • Two 12-foot lanes and one 14-foot lane in each direction
  • Curbs and gutters
  • Raised center median
  • Left- and right-turn lanes
  • Culverts
  • Water-quality facilities
  • Retaining walls
  • Sidewalks along the north side of RM 620

If approved, construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2016.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
