Public Meeting - SH 99 from FM 1093 to I-10

Open House: 5:30 - 7:30 p.m
Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and receive comments on the proposed SH 99 widening. The project is located in Harris and Fort Bend Counties, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions.
Description:
The proposed project would include:
- Widening the existing SH 99 from a four-lane divided highway to a six-lane divided highway
- Adding a center cable median barrier and modifying several ramps
The project would require minor amounts of additional right of way (ROW) to provide for right-turn lanes at major intersections. The project may also require ROW for detention ponds; however, these locations have not yet been identified. No displacements associated with the proposed project are anticipated. The purpose of the project is to improve mobility within the study area. Visit the SH 99 Segment D project page for more information.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
