Open House - SH 105 in Montgomery, San Jacinto and Liberty Counties

Where:	Austin Elementary School Cafeteria 14796 Highway 105 East Conroe, TX 77306	When:	Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Purpose:	The purpose of the open house meeting is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to SH 105, from 10th Street in Conroe to Loop 105 located in Montgomery, San Jacinto and Liberty Counties, Texas.

Description:	The purpose of the proposed project is to improve safety and efficiency of this section of SH 105, given that SH 105 serves as a major east-to-west roadway in these counties. The proposed project: Widens most of this section of SH 105, from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway Adds a curb and gutter Adds outside shoulders and open ditches for the eastern section The proposed improvements would require approximately 48 acres of additional right of way (ROW). Residential and commercial displacements may occur as a result of the proposed project. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
