San Antonio

Before a project is built, a study must be done to determine if it will fill a transportation need, will not negatively impact the surrounding area and fits the department's overall plan. During the study phase, potential projects are analyzed to determine if they are cost-effective while also efficiently improving mobility. Some of these projects have moved beyond the study phase and are under construction.

Austin-San Antonio region Capital-Alamo Connections Study A joint effort between TxDOT, the Capital Area MPO, and the Alamo Area MPO to develop a strategy for mobility improvements
Bexar County SH 16 (Bandera Road) A study to identify potential improvements along SH 16 (Bandera Road) between I-410 and Loop 1604, within the cities of Leon Valley and San Antonio
Bexar County I-410 at US 281 and San Pedro Improvements Project Proposed improvements in the vicinity of the I-410 to US 281 San Pedro Avenue interchange
Comal and Guadalupe counties SH 46 Proposing improvememts to SH 46 from I-35 to I-10
